"Give me a call, next time you get the dialies." That's what she said.
The dialies? What the hell does that mean?
You shake off the verbal memories and go straight for the visual. The
images are haunting. Her. Slipping the faux fur off those smooth shoulders. You.
Smiling a skeptical smile. The sun. Tumbling out of the sky.
When you realize you're still smiling, you shake it off again. This fox
is fast at getting under your skin. She hunts with hard looks from her
gun-metal gray eyes. She lures you in with disarming lines like "I
thought the fall in California would be cooler." She traps you with a
tremble in her lips. A whisper. A wish. A potential promise. "Give me a
call," she said.
